Tale situazione determina sostanziale bel tempo sulla penisola Iberica e in Gran Bretagna ma favorisce la discesa di perturbazioni di origine polare sull’Europa Centro-Orientale che andranno a colpire il fianco Est della penisola italiana, passando per i Balcani.
Il Sud Italia risentirà maggiormente di questa situazione .Su queste regioni, infatti stazionerà una circolazione chiusa in quota che determinerà rovesci moderati anche a carattere temporalesco su Sicilia e Calabria in estensione anche tutto il Meridione.
Se l’evoluzione prevista dovesse essere confermata nei prossimi giorni, un nuovo nucleo depressionario proveniente dalla Scandinavia con associata aria fredda si incuneerà con moto retrogrado nel golfo del Leone e poi rafforzandosi raggiungere l'Italia offrendoci lunedì il primo assaggio di autunno .
Infatti la depressione provocherà piogge, anche intense, tipiche del periodo autunnale, dapprima su Piemonte, Liguria e Toscana con venti forti e mari molto mossi già da martedì e poi maltempo diffuso su tutte le regioni padane e del Centro.
